Serial #55. One of the lightest 3Benders we have ever made, 7 lbs 12 oz, Ash body, Olympic White with mild relic, Chunky C+, Roasted Maple neck with an oil finish, 9.5" radius and 6105 frets. Jeff Callahan pickups, Mastery bridge with adjustable but locked saddles for the most accurate intonation while bending strings, Gotoh Vintage Style Locking tuners, HyperionTone harness.
The guitar body style was inspired by Rick Kelly's Drophorn model and an image of a guitar being played by Dean Porter (I'll include the image here) when he played with Little Jimmy Dickens. We think the see through F hole custom pickguard and the bigger cutaway give the guitar a futuristic look when compared to other more traditional shapes. We also think the sound is 80% T style, 10% Ric and 10% ES335. YMMV.
Thus far, I've only built two of these guitar designs. A well-recognized name in the guitar amplifier world owns the black one. He saw and heard the vibe. You have the opportunity to be an early adopter and an innovator if you own this one.
*Dean Porter was a key innovator in the string bender guitar world. If you don't know about him, check out the guitars he modified for Grady Martin, Ray Kennedy, etc. The guitars he modified were played on hits recorded by Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, Charlie Rich, etc.
